Twaddle. You're just pissed that on the opinion page they criticize BOTH Trump and Biden. But it doesn't bleed over to the front page

There's one other massive difference which you omitted... the US was actively / directly involved in the Vietnam war, where as this situation is the latest in a 1000+ year battle that has nothing to do with us.

And before you speak to allies and funding, it's not the same
I'm reminded of this Palestinian man who was interviewed after his 12 year-old daughter had been shot and killed by what he said was an Israeli soldier. When asked how he could blame America he said that the killer had an American-supplied weapon with American-supplied ammunition, wore an American made uniform, and was trained by Americans.
We already knew where Israel got the bombs and the planes.

Meanwhile down at Ole Miss

Maybe. Just maybe. The majority of campus are sick of a small group of agitators bringing in outside criminals to further disrupt their college experience. They are disrupting classes, cafeterias, libraries and now graduations. Imagine paying full tuition to deal with all that and then they ruin your graduation. Plus they are hurting the school’s reputation. So now the majority is standing up to this. And what’s the complaint? Racism. It’s not acceptable. But I think we all have to recognize how all of a sudden it’s not first amendment protected or considered against the unwritten rules of protests. We have had months of antisemitism all over campuses from students and faculty. As one regular poster on here put it - it’s free speech and it can only be countered with better speech. There has been zero enforcement of hate speech policies, how can any administration enforce it now? It is, however, interesting you chose to post this clip from a campus many miles away. Yet, you did not post the video of the Rutgers student yelling towards Jews that “Hitler would have loved you.”

That's an awful lot of inferences you made about the situation at Ole Miss and me. At least half of those are wrong.

You may be right. Perhaps I should have asked the purpose of that post. Can you explain how it fits this thread and what the point is?

Joey Bags nailed it immediately above. I condone neither side. Probably an impossible ask, but perhaps they should sit at a table and engage in constructive dialogue and perhaps they may find some common ground.

Ole Miss should absolutely investigate that racist clown

That type of behavior has no place in society, and is absolutely disgusting. Anyway you look at it.

Moreover, that completely overshadows the counter protest, and patriotism that was shown on the campus

Similar to my gripes with the Palestinian protesters who did not speak out against the bad apples, I wish the counter protesters in Oxford who were singing the national anthem would speak out against this racist and vile behavior

They're obsessed with me. It's funny- I tell people who i am when the board is mentioned and they instantly ask how I feel about the fantasies on that board about me.

i say better them have their special dreams about me than the thread on there where a dropout is advocating shooting protesters on campus.
Get off your high horse.
Your detractors have the highest regard for their version of the first amendment's freedom of speech rights and object to you and your kind abusing it.

The conservative American First Amendment rights allow you to express their point of view, anything else is a traitorous/criminal act that needs to be suppressed so people won't hear the truth, just hear what the conservatives can claim is the truth.

Remember when a conservative lies, it's not a lie but just their expressing an alternative fact that they want accepted rather than going by the true fact that doesn't support what they want you to think.

Do you not understand how protests work?

Maybe google MLK Jr, Stonewall, Boston Tea Party...etc
Disruptions are not protected by the first amendment. Tinker test is pretty clear with that.

Its threat in the sense to disrupt the education of others. Not necessarily violent. But no different than any other interference in someone else’s education.

Your famous the CE board is sooooo dead that you are a thread on that page and look at this highly political thread being allowed to exist here. It’s such a dead board that they have no choice to come here too.
They have a choice and a responsibility not to bring it here.

Unless you think someone is holding a knife to their throat demanding they post.

Is protesting protected by the First Amendment?
The First Amendment protects your right to assemble and express your views through protest.

The Constitution protects “the right of the people to peaceably assemble.” So while protesting is a time-honored practice in the United States, the operative word is “peaceably.” The Supreme Court has noted that a protest can be shut down if it is associated with “violence and intimidation.” Furthermore, the government can regulate the time, place, and manner in which a protest is conducted.

During the civil rights era, peaceful protesters were arrested and some were beaten because what they were protesting about wasn't wanted by many people ( including powerful government officials) and they were denied the right to protest their cause by claiming their protest was illegal under the law and even if the protesters were peaceful, they were denied the right to protest and arrested like they were committing a criminal act.
Laws can be used to deny rights as well as protect them.

Totally agree
As the Protestors who hurled anti semitic slurs…this Jack ass should be held equally accountable

Right, but the antisemetic comments won't be
Probably not, but two wrongs don’t make a right

Regardless, people should be above that kind of nonsense on both sides of the aisle in this day and age

I hope it’s not the case, but that kid can and likely will be doxed, and could essentially have his life messed up at an early age for a poor decision

Hopefully it doesn’t come to that, as it could be a learning lesson for everybody involved, and things seem to be pretty peaceful there all things considered as both sides were expressing their views without any incidents
