OT: Potential Significant to Major Winter Storm Saturday, 1/29/22 (but high uncertainty)

Definitely living up to the hype here in southern ocean. Current blizzard conditions. I’d say between 8-12 inches already on the ground.

Same here in Lincroft (eastern Monmouth County).

A good 8 inches ... maybe 10 as of 7am. Hard to say exactly because of drifting.

Did a quick pass with snow shovel on driveway that was cleared at 1 am. Maybe another 3 inches, being generous. It does not feel like a blizzard here in Wall. Not too windy and not snowing heavily. This is some of the fluffiest snow in recent memory. Easy to clear.
Snowing heavy here is Manasquan.

No flooding in the neighborhood.

Highest wind gust measured so far in Sea Girt was 39 around 130am.

So when I first did measurements at 5:30 from my front walk it read 3.25. I put my boots on and went to the street and took 5 measurements and it measured 3.5. So I'm thinking the drift from the house gave me that reading. Still snowing lightly. Sweet Pea wanted no part of the snow even when I cleared a path on the lawn.

In Ringoes NJ, 2" and light blowing snow at 7am. Definitely on the fringe of the storm. grandson wants more snow.

As of 4:30 am, we're up to about 4.75" (difficult to measure with blowing/drifting snow) as we had good intensity for awhile, but then it waned, giving us 0.5" last hour. NWS forecast as of 4 am was for 4-6" more snow, so I'm thinking we'll get to 8-10", which would be a great snowstorm. All the way down to 23F.
Ok, woke up and saw that the radar from about 5 am to 7 am was meh and measured about 5.5" at 7 am (very tough to measure with wind blown snow even in our backyard where usually wind doesn't affect measurements that much), which meant we only got 3/4" over the last 2.5 hours. Looking at the radar now, if those bands east of us can't make it here, there's no way we're going to make it to my 8.25" prediction, which I thought was a lock at 4 am. There was always going to be a sharp NW cutoff and we may be the victim of that. 21F now.

We are getting pounded on LBI. Snowing sideways. Very strong winds. Supposed to continue through 10 am. Then snow through mid afternoon. Who the heck can measure with the drifts? A foot?

News 12 doing a very good job in covering the storm. Reporters all over the state and 3 mets doing reports. It's all storm coverage with no news like NYC channels.

Still snowin’ and blowin‘ here in south Wall….impossible to tell exactly how much is already on the ground but it’s got to be 10” and the north wind is pretty fierce. We have a nice bird hostel in the back where about 8 birds and one fat assed squirrel are feasting at our backyard feeders.

Windy and 55 degrees here in the keys which is cold for them. The locals are bundled up in winter coats.

My daughter said they lost power and have about a foot in OC
I will take that. Heading to Santa Rosa Beach (Destin) in a few days. 34 there!

Many on line reports of 12-14" down the Shore and on LI. As of 7 am 5" at EWR and CPK and 6" at LGA. But lots of reports of only 4-5" west of the NJ TPK in CNJ, as the heavier bands just didn't make it that far west and only 2-4" in Hunterdon, Warren and Morris.

OK, can the A-Hole who laughs saying this would be another bust come back and eat some crow? Looking like 7" here in Freehold Twp. so far.

Shovelled a nice 100 foot path with the necessary loops for our 2 little dogs last night around 3

Just took the big dog out and the wind covered everything so it looks like it never existed

It looks to be 5-6 inches in No. Plfd. But it’s tough to tell with the wind blowing everything. One plus about the wind - nothing on the cars.

We went to key west for our honeymoon back in June since leaving the country was still sketchy during covid. It’s awesome there. I’ve been 3 times and it always gets better. We stayed at the Kimpton Bungalos. Where are you staying?

I am back. It is a BUST where I am. That is the place I am concerned about. 7 inches scares you. PUSSY. Have a nice day.
You guys are like two fawken kids grow up and move on Do you act like this in real life? Time for ignore so I don’t need to see your sniveling bs.
