Hit the Copper Kettle Deli about an hour ago for breakfast for the family. Not sure if you go there, but it's a great place!

Used to have lunch there back in the late 70's when I was in high school helping my brother in law's lawn service in the summers. Used to be the Harligen Deli. Can you fit more than 10 people in there these days?

Probably still 10-12 comfortably. New owners gutted and rebuilt it 3 years ago, much nicer and better menu/food. Great soups and chili for the winter.

Decided to go to work today since I live pretty close to the office and only 1 stop on the subway. Had to go meet a customer across town and when I got back down to the subway there was a stalled train and it wasn't running. Since cabs are pretty much crawling and I couldn't be late I just walked over a mile in this crap. Actually isn't too cold but the wind was not too kind to the bare skin on my face.

Came into work (up in Wayne). Looks nasty out now. When will it end here? I'll probably leave later than the usual 5pm to avoid traffic and let the plows plow/salt/sand, assuming it stops snowing/blowing by then... Wasn't that awful about 7 this morning.....

probably after 4

Heavy snow in lower midtown Manhattan now and the wind is really strong. Not many people on the sidewalks and I can barely see the building on the next corner.

Funny, they have a big front loader with some type of plow attachment they use for our complex: 5 minutes after it's gone by, the wind's covered where they plowed. Talk about useless.

Yo, where do you work in Wayne? Snow didn't get started here until shortly before 7, which is why you didn't run into much.

I keep updating the radar on Accuweather. It updates every 15 minutes. This thing is moving slow as hell.

When do u guys see this wrapping up the western camden county area? And have we seen the worst at this point or are we due for another pounding?

Vineland/Millville is a bit worse than I thought. Looking out my window it doesn't look too bad (still see the tops of the grass) but went out to lunch and the roads are horrible. The wind is making some areas look like not much snow has fallen and other areas have a foot. No idea what the real total is.

Just went for a 25 min run in Piscataway, wasn't too bad unless you were running into the wind. Starting to drift pretty good around the house.

how much do you guys have...I think the worst is just about over for you. I think you will see after 2 things really improve in your part if not sooner

You're up around Parish Drive, so you don't have to go too deep into Wayne.

ON Parish Drive actually. Just have to hop onto 23 south/46 or 80 east and will be home in Clifton eventually.....

These weather bums got it wrong again.
Dusting to an inch in west Morris County?

Wrong, storm is much worse than discussed and forecasted.

It’s why there is so much fighting in regards to these storms. Until the exact path is known it’s impossible to know where the sharp cutoffs will be. It’s the public’s fault as much as anyone else.

Whenever a major forecasts busts they crucify the meteorologists for creating panic. After a couple big misses last couple years many are afraid to overplay potentials

Also, and I’m out driving around northern Morristown for work today, the roads out here are much worse with the hills even on less snow. The fact there are inches of snow on parts of route 23 in wayne is unacceptable. Perhaps these towns are not hoping for best and preparing for worst, which they should regardless of what public is being told

I hear from people that have been out and about that the wind is blowing the snow back onto the roads that have just been plowed.....

When will the winds die down? Don't want to shovel/re-shovel/re-shovel..... (I'm getting old)

I think the issue here is the hype in advance...long term models are trash...I will say that again. The Euro saw a big event for today 8 days away but not the set up like this and then the Euro basically had the lowest amounts of any model until yesterday afternoon...too much uncertainty with models that seem to get worse than better...until yesterday there was no consensus...science has to do better than that or not have waste time and resources on long term models
