Being a RU and Mets fan must be tough. I hope you like the Giants so you can have some enjoyment with your sports! When your right, your right. Here's to 2018,the year the Mets get back NYC,lol.
I am a Giants fan, if I was a Jets fan, I'd give up sports altogether, lol.Being a RU and Mets fan must be tough. I hope you like the Giants so you can have some enjoyment with your sports!
All RU fans should root for the Yanks. For balance.
Damm near happened last year. At least they got a new manager, new on field staff, and new trainer. So let' hope for the best.

Yeah, but if you are at least 40'ish and a Giants fan, you have enjoyed 4 championships and 5 total SB appearances. Not bad. Both stunk up The Swamp with the Giants worse

I am warming up to this signing. I was opposed because with a four man bench, you really can't allocate two roster spots to lefthand hitting first basemen who play no other position. However:I have no issue with taking a cheap flyer on Gonzalez.
Tebow may be the best pick-up for the Mets this off-season.Mets today announced that Tim Tebow will be invited to major league camp. Before anyone overreacts to this news one way or the other, keep in mind that some years ago they had Garth Brooks in major league camp.
Be prepared for a summer of Mets outplaying the Yankees.Everything broke bad for the Mets, and right for the Yankees. I don't expect that to be the case again this year. Time will tell of course, and the Yankees have ownership that will go out and do what it takes to rectify any situation, and the Mets don't. There lies the rub I guess.Tebow may be the best pick-up for the Mets this off-season.
Mets didn't want to be in Las Vegas. Nobody does. But somebody's got to. 30 MLB teams, 30 AAA teams. The AAA teams are free to sign their own contracts with their major league affliates. Some years ago, the seats in the game of musical chairs filled up and the Mets were left with Vegas. One of the better moves the Mets have made. I never understood having your highest level so far away when you need to bring them up to the Show. Too bad it's still a year away.http://www.nj.com/mets/index.ssf/2017/10/leaving_las_vegas_why_mets_bought_syracuse_chiefs.html

The way around that is to own your affiliate. Now somebody else will get stuck with Vegas. Agree - well done by Mets.
Here's the list from Baseball America that Monk is referring to:Of the top 100 minor league prospects the Mets have #94..That is a bad job.
If you like Lucas Duda, you'll LOVE Adrian Gonzalez!
If you don't like Lucas Duda, hopefully you'll learn to like Adrian Gonzalez, because he's on his way. Another Wilponian move that makes perfect financial sense, but zero baseball sense IMHO.

Jose, Jose, Jose! Per multiple reports, Reyes is back. One year, $2.5M.
If he is being signed as a utility guy and the big infield signing is yet to come, then bravo. We shall see.
Mets DFA? Dumb F****ng A***oles?Mets DFA Josh Smoker to make room for Reyes. Mildly surprising.

One of the better moves the Mets have made is moving one of their minor league affiliates?? LOL. I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. You make this too easy.
Get ready for it. You heard it here first.Yankees take a big step back in 2018. LGM.Lol. Here we go again. Delusional.

Just getting ready for spring training 2 weeks away. Got to get my game up,lol. For such a big Yankees fan to say that is a real eye-opener.
Wrong. The offer was Brandon Nimmo for Andrew McCutchen...Mets said noMcCutcheon to Giants. We never offered.
That was the Baseball America list. Mlb.com just released its top 100 list, and Mets got shut out.Of the top 100 minor league prospects the Mets have #94..That is a bad job.
Need the players to be from around here. Fence the Metropolitan area! That was the Baseball America list. Mlb.com just released its top 100 list, and Mets got shut up.
Meh. Stars don't matter. I'd rather have lower-rated prospects who WANT to play for us. We'll coach 'em up. No worries.[winking]
