Good luck to all traveling to the game - getting hellacious out there and will be worse after the game. Fortunately the trip from Metuchen to the RAC is never an issue, but that won't be true for everyone. Would be nice to win a game, too.

What time on Fridays are scheduled to get going? Wrestling vs Indians is at 7, so hopefully it’s later on Friday night.
Most of the rain won't be until after 7 pm on Friday through Saturday morning and it's not going to be anything like this storm (less rain, much less wind).

My game time decision was to watch it on Peacock tonight. Good luck to all those making the trip!

It’s going to be a ghost town inside The RAC tonight

Hopefully all of you guys in Jerz don’t get any property damage or power outages.

The Panhandle east of me got hammered today with tornados. Panama City took the brunt. It’s awful

Looks like the duration of the sustained wind gusts has been cut down to a few hours at most?

Here on the north end of LBI the wind is blowing and we have driving rain hitting the windows. The wind coming off of the ocean all day has backed up Barnegat Bay which will lead to flooding from Surf City south well into tomorrow. Marine forecast calling for 15-19 foot seas. Hope everyone stays safe.

Stay safe bruh

Hopefully River Road is fine after the game

Wonder how Bound Brook will be tomorrow, supposed to have a meeting there early afternoon

places in NW NJ approaching 2.5 inches

by far in Belle Mead this is the windiest and heaviest of rain so not good timing for those leaving the RU hoops game with wind gusts around 40 mph

Hellacious ? I’m not seeing that and I‘m close to you and Rutgers . It’s a heavier rain but we have seen much worse.

Put the rain gauge back out this morning before I went to work. Hard to see it without going out there, but there appeared to be around an inch when I got home at 5, and looks to be about 2½ inches now.

Easiest drive in and home ever, because few fans (4000?) and everyone was off the roads. Moderate rain and light winds on the way in, but heavy rain and howling winds (30-40 mph gusts) on the way home. Great win, though - best defensive effort of the year and we scored enough. We still own Indiana - nice "Hoosier Daddy" cheer at the end, lol.

Back to the weather, just saw this list of flood warnings for the NWS-Philly, It's exhaustive and will get worse as the bigger streams and rivers start to flood early tomorrow, especially those in NNJ and SENY that are covered under the NWS-NYC...

It's about 10 pages worth of flood warnings - here's the link to them all (including those for NWS-Philly and NYC).

And 1.25-2.5" of rain have already fallen across much of the region as per the radar estimate below, with more to come, as per the radar snapshot, showing the incredible rainfall amounts and high winds coming for 20-30 min for most with that squall line in red - you'll know when it comes through your area...
